On November 29, 2023, the Summer Village of Poplar Bay received notice from the Land and Property Rights Tribunal that the Summer Village’s proposed annexation was approved, effective January 1, 2024.

The Summer Village would like to thank all community members who participated in the annexation process.
As part of the implementation of this annexation, the Summer Village intends to amend the Summer Village of Poplar Bay Municipal Development Plan (Bylaw 270) and the Summer Village of Poplar Bay Land Use Bylaw (Bylaw 161) soon to ensure the annexation area is addressed by these documents’ policies and regulations. As part of the Summer Village’s Annexation Application Report to the Land and Property Rights Tribunal amendments to these documents were identified as implementation items for Council to consider once the annexation was approved.
